Glory be to the Father who has created me you know me through and through.

Glory be to the Son who has redeemed me You make your home in me.

Glory be to the Spirit who has sanctified  me you want to set me free.

This came to me while in prayer on retreat and has been the basis for meditation for many years since.

redeemed me

Help me Lord to think about what it really means to be redeemed. You are the rightful owner of my life both physical and spiritual. Forgive me Lord for the many times I have failed to obey your commands.

Nothing is hidden from your Holy Spirit. Help me Lord to come into your presence with total and absolute honesty. No more pretending things are OK when they are not.

sanctified  me

The presence of you Holy Spirit within me means I am set apart and special. ( to . . . / for . . .)
Come Holy Spirit as you came to the apostles. Open our eyes that we may see the hidden things of God. Send love into our hearts like a flame of fire that our lives may be changed by the power of your Spirit to do God’s work on the Earth and bring people with us to heaven.

to the Father

Thank you father for allowing me to be adopted into your family. I have adopted a boy myself so I know a little of what it feels like especially when he is searching for his real father. When a child is adopted that child is chosen for who he is.

You do not choose a child when you have a baby you can only choose to accept or reject it.

To be chosen is very special and quite different from natural birth. Forgive me father for my lack of gratitude for being chosen as a child of God.

set me free

Come Holy Spirit and really set me free. Set me free from all the things that obstruct a closer relationship with Jesus and set me free also Lord to do the things that you really want me to do. Father thy will be done in me.
