“Special relationship”

The promise to Abraham and his descendants that they should inherit the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith.

Our inheritance depends on faith so that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his descendants. Abraham is the father of us all as it is written I have made you the father of many nations. By faith in God, Abraham believed this promise despite the fact that he was nearly 100 years old and his wife was barren.

By putting our faith in this God we too are justified and as the Psalmist says “Blessed is the man against who the Lord will not reckon his sin.”

The Israelites are the chosen race out of the whole world to have this “special relationship” with God himself.

Sadly they chose to reject and kill the prophets of old and also the Son of God himself but they are still  the people with a special relationship. 

God does  not break His promises.
